Faizan Abul Qais is currently Research Associate in Indo-UK collaborative project (ResPHARM). I completed Ph.D. in December 2020 under the supervision of Prof. Iqbal Ahmad in the Department Agricultural Microbiology, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. My doctoral research in Ahmad’s Lab focused on identification of bioactive plant extracts and phytocompounds for antiglycation and antimicrobial properties.
My role in this project is to isolate and characterize the antibiotic resistant bacteria, especially E. coli and Enterobacter. I am also responsible for exploring the role of biofilms in pertaining the antibiotic resistance in environment.
